Tired of the lack of Black faces in cool spaces, Shani Glapion knew the craft beer industry needed diversity. She craved a space that brought together like-minded individuals that enjoyed craft beer and the laid-back brewery vibe. Finding none, she created one. Our community is an inclusive Black community where ALL Black lives matter. Our events and happy hours are open to the entire craft beer community but will be Black centered. You are encouraged to come as your authentic self because, as long as you have an interest in beer, we have something in common.

I found my interest in beer through a Groupon for a brewery tour and that turned into a tradition of visiting breweries wherever I travel. I love the laidback vibe of breweries but let’s be honest, they’re missing a little culture.
I’m all about community. I love bringing people together. I found my passion when I realized I can bring folx together over a beer. Through this community I realized Black people aren’t marketed to and really have no idea the complexity of beer. While I geek out over the many styles of beer, majority of our community thinks big beer is all that’s out there. I want to change that narrative and the only way to do that is to educate and experience it.
